\u00a1Qu\u00e9 tal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me llamo Anna Flowers. Desde ni\u00f1a he tenido una gran obsesi\u00f3n con los peluches y los regalos hecho a mano. La atenci\u00f3n y la creatividad que hay detr\u00e1s de ellos me consolaban en mis d\u00edas m\u00e1s oscuros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nunca hab\u00eda sido creativa, no hasta que me convert\u00ed en int\u00e9rprete m\u00e9dica espa\u00f1ola. Necesitaba algo para ocupar mis manos mientras estaba esperando a los clientes. Cuando los libros y el m\u00f3vil no me sirvieron, se me ocurri\u00f3 intentar aprender una manualidad. Mis cu\u00f1adas hac\u00edan ganchillo y, aunque intentaron ense\u00f1arme, el internet se convirti\u00f3 en mi maestro.<\/gwmw><\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empec\u00e9 a hacer ganchillo en 2018, comenzando con bufandas y mantas. Aprend\u00ed una variedad de puntadas y c\u00f3mo leer patrones. Durante un viaje fuera del pa\u00eds, experiment\u00e9 con bolsos y monederos. Despu\u00e9s de un descanso y un cambio de escenario, me gradu\u00e9 del trabajo plano y aprend\u00ed a hacer una pelota que fue seguida por pulpos, elefantes y ay tantos otros animales. No fue hasta que me mud\u00e9 a Dakota del Sur en 2021 que prob\u00e9 a hacer mu\u00f1ecas, que me han encantado desde entonces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al aprender a hacer ganchillo, he ampliado mis horizontes m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo que cre\u00eda que pod\u00eda hacer por ser biling\u00fce. Acceder a medios en ingl\u00e9s y espa\u00f1ol me ha ayudado en muchos proyectos. Tambi\u00e9n he podido ayudar a otros creadores a distribuir sus patrones m\u00e1s all\u00e1 al traducirlos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La alegr\u00eda que he visto, no s\u00f3lo en los ni\u00f1os sino tambi\u00e9n en los adultos, me ha mantenido emocionada para crecer como estudiante de las artes de fibra. El ganchillo y otras artes de fibra se han convertido en algo m\u00e1s que un pasatiempo para m\u00ed. Se han convertido en una parte de mi vida que me encanta compartir con los dem\u00e1s. <\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al vender mis creaciones no s\u00f3lo contribuyo a financiar mi pasatiempo y a evitar que acumule cosas, sino que tambi\u00e9n puedo marcar la diferencia en la vida de una persona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a1Qu\u00e9 tal! My name is Anna Flowers. Since I was a child, I have had quite an obsession with stuffed animals and homemade gifts. The thoughtfulness and creativity behind them comforted me in my darkest days. I was never creative myself, it wasn’t until I became a Spanish medical interpreter. I needed something to keep my hands occupied while waiting for clients. When books and cell phone didn\u2019t work, I figured I would try to learn a craft. My sisters-in-law crocheted and although they tried to teach me, the internet came to my teacher. I began crocheting in 2018, beginning with scarves and blankets. I learned a variety of stitches and how to read patterns. While on a trip out of the country, I experimented with bags and purses. After a break and a change of scenery, I graduated from flat work and learned to make a ball followed by octopus, elephants, and oh so many other animals. It wasn\u2019t until I moved to South Dakota in 2021 that I tried my hand at making dolls which I have loved ever since. While learning to crochet, I have expanded my horizons beyond what I thought I could do because of being bilingual. Accessing media in both English and Spanish has aided me in many projects. I have also been able to assist other creators with spreading their patterns further by translating them. The joy that I have seen, not just in children but also adults, has kept me excited to grow as a student of the fiber arts. Crochet and other fiber arts have become more than a hobby for me. It\u2019s become a part of my life that I enjoy sharing with others.  Selling my creations not only helps to fund my hobby and keeps me from hoarding, but also can make a difference in a person\u2019s life.
